Recalibrate: A Mindful Retreat in Spain with Louise Rogers
Saturday 18th April - Saturday 25th April 2026
We are delighted to offer this new retreat with Louise which offers a wonderful balance of yoga and mindfullness. Louise's classes will be interlaced with optional extra activities such as short guided walks and talks about the Alpujarras, olive oil production, local history and traditions.
About Louise
Louise has been a dedicated student and practitioner of yoga and meditation for over 30 years and has been teaching since 2011. Throughout her career, she has focused on supporting women through life’s many transitions—physical, emotional, and spiritual—in her roles as teacher, doula, and mentor.
Her teaching encourages self-inquiry through cultivating self-trust and deeper awareness of one’s own perceptions and inherent wisdom. Motivated by a wish to help people enjoy their bodies and experience psychological and emotional wellbeing, she keeps her teaching points relatable— dispelling myths where needed and making practice accessible to all. She understands the importance of tending to past experiences with care and compassion as an essential part of healing. Believing in the power of community, her classes are inclusive, welcoming, and grounded. Louise weaves spirituality, heart, and passion into her teaching, inspiring students to discover their own reasons for practice.
Louise’s teaching integrates embodied movement, mindfulness, and grounded spirituality. She is trained in multiple yoga and somatic disciplines, including experiential anatomy, somatic strength, and Restorative Yoga, and is a graduate of the two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Programme with world renowned teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has taught in diverse settings and currently facilitates mindfulness programs for those affected by
cancer, focusing on resilience, compassion, and nervous system regulation.
Louise lives in Surrey, UK, with her husband and dog, and is mother to two young adult sons and two step-sons. She spends as much time outdoors as possible and loves hiking, exploring, cooking, music and meaningful connection.
A FEW WORDS FROM LOUISE ABOUT THE RETREAT
A week to reconnect with inner spaciousness, restore balance, steady your nervous system, and feel joy.
Most of us wait until exhaustion or external changes force a pause.
This retreat offers something different — a conscious space to rest, reflect, and replenish before you reach that point.
This April, join me in the Alpujarra mountains of southern Spain for a week of mindfulness, movement, and calm restoration. It’s a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover the ease and quiet joy that arise when we stop rushing.
Why Recalibrate?
Spring invites renewal — not through striving, but through alignment. During this retreat, we’ll explore how mindfulness can help you find that same inner recalibration. In an increasingly hectic and chaotic world it’s easy to feel blocked, reactive or unsure. When we create inner space we are able to view the bigger picture with more clarity - becoming clearer on who we wish to be or what we want to create. Through simple, grounded practices for body, heart and mind, you’ll learn to reset your nervous system, restore balance, and make space for joy to re-emerge naturally — not as something you chase, but something that unfolds when you create space for it.
What to Expect
Our days follow an unhurried rhythm of movement, nourishment, and stillness:
Morning practice — mindful movement, alignment based asana, somatic strength, meditation. To
help you feel centred and rooted.
Late afternoon practice — restorative yoga, breath work and guided relaxation to help settle the
nervous system.
Other activities — rest & reflection, walking, cookery demonstration, excursion.
Throughout — should you wish, through journalling prompts, thoughtful conversation or Insight
meditation (Vipassana) you’ll have the opportunity to contemplate belonging, creativity and
purpose.
Optional extras — massage, horse riding, day trip to Granada
The retreat rhythm is designed to support ease — enough structure to feel held, enough
spaciousness to reconnect with yourself. You’ll learn effective practices you can implement and
integrate long after you return home.
The Setting
Our home for the week is Las Chimeneas — a family-run retreat centre in the small village of
Mairena, nestled in the Alpujarra mountains between Granada and the Mediterranean coast.
With stone-built houses, wide terraces, and panoramic views over olive groves, Las Chimeneas
offers the ideal setting for deep rest.
Meals are locally sourced and seasonal, with produce grown in the village’s organic gardens.
The stillness of the landscape naturally invites you to slow down — to listen, breathe, and soften
back into presence.
Who It’s For
This retreat is for anyone ready to trade busyness for breathing space.
Perhaps you…
• Feel stretched between responsibilities.
• Value practical mindfulness for modern life.
• Want to restore energy and clarity, and perhaps rediscover joy.
We welcome beginners or those wishing to deepen practice. You just need to curiosity and
openness to explore.
