NEW!! Yoga, walking and see a village fiesta with Carrie
Sunday 23rd April - Sunday 30th April 2023
Yoga and walking in the mountains and see our local San Marcos fiesta at Las Chimeneas with Carrie Rodd
We are already looking forward to Carrie joining us for her tenth consecutive year of yoga at Chimeneas. It has always been a delightful week and now we are offering a slightly different itinerary combining a lovely start to the day with one session Carrie’s inspiring teaching followed by a range of guided hikes in the afternoon. We also offer a wide range of extra activities such as cooking with the Chimeneas chef Conchi as well as optional cultural visits and to the Palaces of the Alhambra in Granada. This year the week coincides with our village fiesta of San Marcos, patron Saint of the land and animals. This celebration involves a spectacular procession which we will be welcome to join as well as a meal cooked for the whole over olive wood firest in the church square

About Carrie
Carrie has been practising Yoga for about 15 years. She studied Ashtanga with Danny Paradise, Anusara with Bridget Woods Kramer, Iyengar with Anna Ashby, meditation with Emil Wendel. Carrie’s formal Yoga Teacher training was with Triyoga London where she studied for 18months with Jeff Phenix and Susannah Hoffman and achieved a distinction in the 200 hour training accredited by The British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance. This year Carrie has studied with Jason Crandell on his Advanced Teacher Training programme. Carrie blends different styles of Hatha Yoga to develop a practise which is invigorating and healing, soothing and strengthening.
A week of Hatha yoga to deepen your practice, or if you are a beginner, to introduce you to the practice of asana that can develop strength, flexibility and focus.
We will begin each day with an awakening of the muscular body, slowly opening and warming, leading to a graceful vinyasa. The afternoon sessions will reflect a slower more meditative pace, delving a little deeper into certain aspects of Yoga and tailoring a practice for each individual. At the end of the week you will have a yoga session designed specifically for you to take home and through your yoga practice build the best possible version of yourself.
